Alas the timings a bit off, he grows a bit half way through, and im not very happy with the throwing movement.. But hey, overall it works I guess :)

(Its ment to be Woody from Toy Story throwing a ball. A baseball pitch to be precise. If you didn't get that then its a fail on my part :/)

Got set a task to draw a typical 1960's Hippy, heres what I ended up coming up with. Didn't spend very long on it, was just for fun.

Still uneasy with digital painting... But hey, practice practice practice!

A first try at digital

I've always been a bit skeptic of digital painting, but figured there's no time like the present to give it a try. Here's two pieces I did for a uni layout project. Done with a Wacom Bamboo Fun and PS CS4.

Here's the Final Result. First up an Artists studio. I chose 19th century toulouse, kind of a La Boheme theme. Could've cleaned it up a bit... But its 5:30am and the deadlines tomorrow....

And the Back-up Sketches.

Next up a tonal study of my bedroom. This was my first real try at digital. My main aim was to get to grips with the software. The lighting and tonal range is a bit poor, figured it'd upload it anyway as a benchmark for improvement.

And a little bit lomo!

Got another set of prints back and here's some more of my favourites. The film lined itself up in such a way that it made some quite nice long horizontal photos! Had some serious issues with my film scanner, so image quality on some isn't so great :/

Been messing about the last few months with a fish eye camera. I've been winding back the film and double-exposing it which was produced some nice effects! Here's some of my favourites so far.

Artist Studies

Here's some artists studies from last term. The first is a collection of Michel Angelo studies focusing on anatomy. The rest are Van Gogh studies looking at mark making with a brush.

Some Life Drawing

Had a quick flick through some old scans and found a handfull of life drawings I didn't mind, so thought i'd put them up.
